Saturday, 30th May: Club member trip on the Medway from Tonbridge to Yalding. 07:30-19:30: With spring in the air, this is a lovely time of year to get out on the water for this classic paddle trip for SUP, canoe and kayaks. The trip is planned for the River Medway on Saturday 30th May. The trip runs from Tonbridge to Yalding, following the river downstream and covering around 15km of waterway. The route passes through the scenic Kent countryside. There are several locks along the route, which can either be portaged or passed using canoe chutes. The trip finishes at a pub beside the river, which is a great place to have a meal after a long paddle. If you are interested, please fill out the Medway Form. Friday, 3rd July: Symonds Yat trip Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July: Our annual weekend camping trip in the Forest of Dean and paddling on the River Wye. It’s an easy paddle down the beautiful river Wye in Herefordshire on the English-Welsh border. Most of it is fairly flat, but at the Yat itself there is a grade 2 rapid which is great for practising whitewater skills and playing. For those that don’t fancy it there is also a pub and tea-rooms just upstream… This trip is suitable for novices as well as more experienced paddlers who would like a fun sociable trip in beautiful countryside. We will be camping in the Forest of Dean. We can advise on kit and help you find out how to hire canoeing equipment if needed. Please email Nina ( welfare@castlecanoeclub.co.uk) if you would be interested in coming. Once again, it helps to know if you can offer transport or need a lift. Early responses (even if it’s a maybe) are helpful so we can plan numbers and cars, and let the campsite know roughly how many are coming. |

POLO SKILLS SESSION EVERY SUNDAY
Skill sessions for polo for first hour of Sunday sessions. If you want to find out about polo and get lots of help and support come at start of Sunday sessions at 10am .
