Saturday, 1st June: Trip to River Medway all day: There is a trip planned for the River Medway on Saturday 1st June. With summer just starting, this is a lovely time of year to get out on the water. The trip runs from Tonbridge to Yalding, following the river downstream and covering around 15km of the river. The route passes through the scenic Kent countryside. There are several locks along the route, which can either be portaged or passed using canoe chutes. The trip finishes at a pub beside the river which is a great place to have a meal after the paddle. Need to book in advance |

Friday 12th – Sunday 14th July: Annual Symonds Yat Camping and Kayaking Trip All weekend: Symonds Yat is in the beautiful Forest of Dean on the border of England and Wales. We paddle on a lovely lazy stretch of the River Wye ending in a friendly and playful rapid with a pub and tea-shop next to it. This is a relaxed trip which is as much about the camping and the Saturday night barbecue as the paddling on the river. Please email welfare@castlecanoeclub.co.uk for more details. |
